So what's with the long name?
LaFranchi (La Frankie) was my grandmother's name who died three days after giving birth to my mom Lorraine. My mom was adopted & her adopted mom died when she was seven. Prickled by an unrest, my mom finally unearthed her past when she was 45.
Madonich (Ma don ich) was my dad's surname, which I use less & less now.
